FLxER is a collective of programmers and audiovisual creators and a platform for development and knowledge sharing, founded in 2001 in Rome. Members collaborate to create software tailored to their specific needs, such as creating narratives and making the idea of a “truly living” video performance come true. They make their FLxER programming solutions available free of charge – on an open source basis.
Also known as FLxER is the free interactive AV Mixer software, developed by Gianluca Del Gobbo of Flyer and Alberto Bordonaro aka vj b_muvis. The program is used for image production and live video, text and graphics mixing. Over time, FLxER has also become an audiovisual community of over 30,000 people sharing their productions. Since 2019, the group has been operating at AVnode.net.
